MoU signed between Karachi Hockey Association and Indus University under Sindh Government Hockey Development Program

Karachi Hockey Association and Indus University have agreed to form a student hockey team under the Sindh Government's "Rehabilitation Hockey" program. Syeda Shehla Raza, Provincial Minister for Women's Development, General Manager and Chairperson of PHF Women's Wing Sindh, HA Syeda Shehla Raza, Coordinator of Sports Department for Hockey Development Program, Former International Hockey Player and Secretary HA Syed Haider Hussain, Indus University Chancellor Khalid Amin and Indus University Registrar Yasir Amin signed the agreement.

The Karachi Hockey Association pays tribute to the entire team of Indus University, including its Chancellor Khalid Amin and Registrar Yasir Amin, for joining the provincial government's hockey development program. Not only technical support will be provided to the team of the university but also KHA Sports Complex is available free of cost for the practice. Memorial certificates were presented to Grami.
Today the great stars of the hockey world are shining together at the university. With the arrival of the Olympians, students will definitely be attracted to hockey. On this occasion, the Chancellor also gave an appointment letter to Karachi Hockey Association coach Arshad Siddiqui as hockey coach of Indus University. Haider Hussain, Coordinator and Secretary, Sports Department, Government of Sindh, said that the program of the Government of Sindh, Hockey Development, is the vision of Arbab Lutfullah, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for Sports, and Akhtar Inayat Bhargari, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs. The agreement with Indus University will be the first step toward the revival of hockey in educational institutions.
The Chancellor of the University Khalid Amin and his entire team are part of the revival of Mission Hockey today. On behalf of the Government of Sindh, I would like to thank Indus University. In his address, the Chancellor of Indus University Khalid Amin said that after knowing the achievements of KHA, it has been decided to give scholarships to the teams of Indus University based on merit. When he decided to form a team, he was wondering where he would practice. However, Haider Hussain solved this problem. It is very important to restore the sports department in educational institutions.
According to the agreement, Indus University will form student teams under the Government of Sindh's Hockey Development Program, while KHA will provide free KHA Sports Complex for practice, including technical support for the formation of Indus University teams. Speaking on the occasion, Syeda Shehla Raza said that Sindh is ahead of all other provinces in the service of hockey, just as the government of Sindh has supported the Hockey Federation. The Indus University's roots in rehabilitation will open the closed doors of sports in educational institutions.
Patron-in-Chief of KHA Major General (Retd.) Tariq Haleem Suri, Chairman KHA Gulfraz Khan, Chairman KHA Dr. Junaid Ali Shah, Hockey Legends Olympians Hanif Khan, Iftikhar Syed, Nasir Ali, Wasim Feroz Ahmed Alam, were present on the occasion. A large number of students including KHA Vice President Dr. SA Majid, SSP Ijaz-ud-Din, Chairman KHA Disciplinary Committee Major Shah Nawaz, Legal Adviser KHA Barrister Amir Aziz, and other important personalities were present.
